Here are some answers.<\/p>\n<h2>When I should get a second opinion?<\/h2>\n<p>One should be clear that in emergency  treatment there is no place of second opinion.<\/p>\n<p> If you have been prescribed an elective  treatment option, you can ponder upon second opinion.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list01\">\n<li>If the diagnosis is unclear<\/li>\n<li>If you have been given multiple treatment  options by your treating doctor and you are unclear about them<\/li>\n<li>If you are not responding to the treatment as  expected<\/li>\n<li>The recommended treatment is risky or  experimental or controversial<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to choose a doctor for second opinion?<\/h2>\n<p>You should be choosing a doctor who is  having at least the same expertise as your doctor or higher.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list01\">\n<li>Your acquaintances may also be able to help you  choose the doctor for second opinion<\/li>\n<li>You can also do an online search for the doctor<\/li>\n<li>A good well equipped center with all the  requisite facility may be the right place to go if you don\u2019t come across any  name<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What should I tell my treating doctor?<\/h2>\n<p>Most of the experienced doctors will  acknowledge your concern for second opinion.
